Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, has berated the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), over his continued criticism of members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Shaibu’s remarks followed comments by Keyamo, who told the ADC spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was monitoring the coalition party and warned that there would be no breathing space for it.
Reacting via his X handle (formerly Twitter), Shaibu wrote; “@BolajiADC only forced you, briefly, to speak like someone who holds office. Even then, you couldn’t help yourself you still closed with insults. That’s your comfort zone.
“Let me be clear: you don’t throw mud at @atiku or @PeterObi and expect me to fry eggs for you or give soft smiles in return. That era is gone. When you come with gutter talk, don’t expect table manners back.
“You provoke, you insult, you personalise everything then act shocked when you’re answered in the same tone. That won’t fly. If you bring street energy, you’ll meet street resistance.
“Office demands discipline. If you can’t rise to it, don’t cry foul when people speak to you in the language you understand.
“Respect is reciprocal. And we are not obligated to pamper your recklessness.”
