Famous cross-dress, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky has gone on his bended knees to beg Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II for asking him to marry him.
For those who don’t know, Bobrisky, recently travelled to Benin City, Edo State for an event organised by celebrity interior designer, Ehi Ogbebor.
Meanwhile, elated Bobrisky took to social media to express his excitement as he shared a video and said; “We’re here to disturb Benin. Oba of Benin, Bob has entered. I have entered. Come and marry me.”
His comment was greeted with outburst from Benin people who saw the statement as disrespectful to the monarch and Benin kingdom.
However, the cross-dresser, who could not stand the attack, took to his Instagram story to apologise to the king.
He wrote; “Earlier today, I made a statement about the Oba of Benin and a lot of you didn’t find it funny.”
“I know. I’m so sorry. I’m actually a jovial person and I play a lot. I’m here to apologise to the great Oba of Benin and to the palace of Benin, that I am sorry.”
