Michael Ohkide, 23-year-old boy has allegedly stabbed his parents, Barr. Clement Okhide and Toyin to death and he is now on the run. The ugly incident happened on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in their residence at Afeez Gbadamosi Street, Ejigbo, Lagos.
We gathered that Michael who is a musician also stabbed his sister in the stomach and hand leaving her in the pool of her blood.
Sources squealed to us that the boy is a drug addict. They said that the dastardly act would not be unconnected with his uncontrollable urge to get some of the illicit drugs at all costs.
Speaking about the late father, a source said; “Barr. Clement Okhide, (60years) is a lawyer and a no-nonsense man, he had been warning Michael against taking illicit drugs but he wouldn’t listen. There had been an altercation between them several times.”
Sources said Michael is the first child of the parents, that the couple had three children. We also learned that he (Michael) had gone to three private universities but could not complete his education because of drugs.
A family source said; “It is unfortunate that my brother and his wife lost their lives in the process of trying to ensure he turned a new leaf. Michael has been a thorn in the entire family’s flesh. If you cautioned him, he would snap at you and warn you to mind your business.”
