British boxer, Ryan Taylor who was formerly engaged to Nigerian DJ and billionaire heiress, Florence Otedola a.k.a DJ Cuppy, has fired back at critics following a controversial comment he made on social media.

The drama unfolded on Father’s Day when Taylor posted a photo of himself and his daughter on Instagram, along with a caption expressing his desire to help end racism by having mixed-race children.
Amid the reactions, one Instagram user pointed out the child’s resemblance to Taylor’s ex-fiancée, DJ Cuppy. In a sharp response, Taylor replied:
“She wasn’t enough of a woman to even fathom creating such a beautiful creation like mine. Please leave me and don’t come back.”
The comment quickly went viral and sparked backlash, especially among Nigerian fans, many of whom accused him of being disrespectful toward Cuppy.
Unfazed by the criticism, Taylor addressed the backlash in a follow-up post, maintaining his stance and defending his right to express himself. He dismissed his critics and urged them to stop meddling in his personal life.
He said; “Today is a special day. Nigerians gotta chill out, you come for the mother of my child and think I won’t back it? Don’t come on my page talking shit and cry when I speak. I NEVER signed the Contract. I will always say what I want and do what is right for me or my family. I haven’t said shit yet everyone gotta chill.”
Ryan Taylor and DJ Cuppy were previously engaged before calling off their relationship in 2023. Their breakup attracted widespread media attention at the time, though both parties remained relatively quiet about the reasons behind the split until now.
