When Col. Buba Marwa established the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency during his tenure as the then governor of Lagos State little did he know or envisaged that he was doing the people of Lagos State and Nigeria in general a great honor.

In the same vain, when Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu appointed Dr. Dolapo Fashawe as the General Manager of LASEPA about two years ago, little also did he know then that he was for the first time in the history of the agency putting “Round peg in a round hole” and doing greater service to humanity with her appointment.

A visit to the agency last week left one in awe with the magnitude of transformation that Dr. Dolapo and her hardworking team has brought to the agency.

The agency now has several stations on air quality control with its headquarters at Jankara on Lagos Island, made possible by its collaboration with the World Bank.

LASEPA also enjoyed partnership with other agencies like LASPARK, NESTREA, NAFDAC and others.

This unprecedented transformation exercise by Dr. Dolapo Fashawe, who is also a royal princess from Ijero Ekiti has also earn the agency ISO certification.

Speaking with our correspondent in her office during the week, Dr. Fashawe said; “We are just starting, we shall replicate what you enjoyed in Europe and America here in Lagos State Nigeria, the new year 2022 and beyond will see us achieving more feats.”
