Gov. Matawalle Participates In Unveiling The National Action Plan Of International Human Rights 2022-2026

Invited as a Special Guest of Honour, Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara State attended the 2021 Commemoration of the International Human Rights Day, that took place at Osun – Lagos Hall Transcorp Hillton Hotel, Abuja on Friday December 10th, 2021.

Represented by his Special Adviser, Hon. Abdullahi M. Maiturare shinkafi, Governor Matawalle unveiled the National Action Plan 2022-2026 alongside HE Mary Beth Leonard, US Ambassador, Hon. Mrs Paulen Talen, Minister of Women Affairs, representative of Hon. Abubakar Malami SAN, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Dr. Salamatu Hussaini Suleman, Chairperson National Human Rights Commission, Mr. Tony Ojukwu SAN. Executive Secretary, NHRC and other Board Members of the Commission.

The lecture delivered at the occasion was on a theme: The Role of International Co-operation in the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, Post COVID-19, by Prof. Bola Akinterinwa, former Director General Nigerian institute of International Affairs.
