Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei has slumped before the House of Representatives Committee on NDDC.

Pondei practically fainted while he was taking questions from members of the investigation committee on Monday morning (July 20th, 2020) at the ongoing investigation into the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

For those who don’t know, the committee is investigating the alleged financial misappropriation at the NDDC.

The NDDC boss appeared before the investigation panel alongside Godswill Akpabio, Minister for Niger Delta Affairs at the hearing by the House of Reps Committee.

However, things took a new twist when the NDDC boss slowly slumped over his desk as he was being grilled by the panel for over an hour.

Immediately, he was surrounded by several people present at the hearing who attempted to revive and stabilised him while the proceedings was halted.

Meanwhile, a move to have the session adjourned was shouted before the Deputy Chairman of the Committee called for a 30-minute recess.
