Minutes after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa reportedly slumped at a meeting in Abuja, the commission has immediately reacted.
In a terse statement by EFFC’s spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said;
“This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat.”
“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk.”
For those who don’t know, few hours ago we receive information from Abuja that the EFCC Boss, Bawa collapsed while delivering a speech at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, September 16th, 2021.
According to sources; “Bawa all of a sudden stopped as he was giving a goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration.”
“He was immediately assisted to his seat by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, and other senior officials at the event and was rushed out.”
