Students of Ekiti State University (EKSU) have described the MTN Live It 100 on Campus activation as an exciting mix of entertainment, learning and social connection, saying the initiative offers a refreshing balance between academic life and recreation.
For many students, the activation has become more than just another campus event. With activities ranging from immersive cinema experiences and interactive gaming zones to board games and other engaging attractions, participants say the experience encourages students to take a healthy break from the demands of university life while building friendships and creating lasting memories.
Ayodeji Aderemi, a 300-level Electrical and Electronics Engineering student, described the activation as an experience no student should miss. “Anyone who hasn’t experienced it is really missing out. The games, the cinema experience, everything has been so much fun. There are no dull moments here.”
According to Aderemi, the Live It 100 campaign reflects the importance of balancing academics with leisure.
“To me, Live It 100 means balancing education with fun. We are having fun fully here while still being students. There are so many digital games and activities that you can’t even experience everything at once. It’s unlimited fun.”
Sharing a similar sentiment, Inioluwa, a 200-level Civil Engineering student, described the activation as “fantastic, fun, impressive and educative,” noting that it challenges the idea that university life should revolve solely around academics. “As a student, you don’t always have to read, read, read. You can also have fun by attending events like this on campus instead of thinking entertainment only happens outside school.”
Inioluwa particularly enjoyed the gaming activities, recalling how watching friends play Scrabble added to the excitement of the experience.
Beyond the entertainment, she believes the activation reinforces an important life lesson. “It reminds me that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I have to make time for fun while also focusing on my studies. It’s about balancing both.”
