Lagos Speaker, Obasa Dismisses His Chief Of Staff, Chief Press Secretary, Others

Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa has ended the appointment of his Chief of Staff (CoS), Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Special Adviser on Political Affairs and Special Adviser on Research.

Information at our disposal has it that the speaker has decided to reorganise his house by laying-off Saka Fafunmi, Chief of Staff; Mr Tolani Abati, Chief Press Secretary, Hon. Dayo Famakinwa, Special Adviser on Political Affairs and Oladimeji Oriyomi, Special Adviser on Research of their respective duties.

However, the Chief of Staff, Saka Fafunmi who was a three-term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ifako Ijaiye Constituency 1, said that he received the letter on Monday afternoon. He added that there was no prior disagreement between himself and his boss.

Similarly, Tolani Abati also confirmed that he received his sack letter on Monday afternoon, January 12th, 2021.

He said; “There was no special reason other than the usual statement that one’s service is no longer needed.”

“Yes, I was given a letter but I don’t know about others because I only received my own letter of disengagement. As regards the content, it reads your appointment is no longer needed.”

“I don’t have any issue with my boss and I will forever be grateful to him for the opportunity given.”
