In a show of solidarity and recognition for outstanding service, the Chief Executive Officer and Editor-in-Chief of RazorNews Group, Mr. Odita Sunday, led a delegation of senior editors and correspondents on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh Moshood.

The visit, held at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, was described by Mr. Sunday as a “gesture of deep appreciation and respect” for the Commissioner’s exemplary leadership, which has been widely credited with improving security architecture and fostering public trust in law enforcement across Lagos State.

In his address during the visit, Mr. Sunday lauded CP Moshood for his “unique blend of discipline, intelligence-led strategy, and compassion,” describing the Commissioner as “one of the silent heroes” of Nigeria’s security system.

“Since your assumption of office,” Sunday stated, “Lagos has witnessed a refreshing transformation in its security landscape. Your leadership has brought about a tangible reduction in crime and renewed public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force.”
He further commended the Commissioner’s community policing model, his strategic resource deployment, and proactive crime-fighting methods, noting that these initiatives have helped in bridging the trust gap between the Police and the citizens.
Mr. Sunday particularly praised CP Moshood’s open-door policy and his consistent engagement with media professionals, community leaders, and civil society groups, saying it reflects a modern approach to policing based on transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
“Your recognition of the media as a strategic partner in security management is both commendable and visionary,” he added. “It shows your understanding of the critical role that information, trust, and responsible journalism play in sustaining peace and security.”
The RazorNews boss also reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting the Lagos State Command through responsible journalism, public enlightenment, and accurate reportage of security matters.
“As partners in nation-building, we assure you of our continued collaboration in promoting security awareness and enhancing public trust in law enforcement,” he said.
In his remarks, CP Olohundare Jimoh Moshood expressed gratitude for the visit and commended RazorNews Group for its consistent professionalism and balanced reportage. He reiterated the command’s readiness to work closely with the media and other stakeholders in sustaining the relative peace in Lagos State.
The visit ended on a high note with both parties pledging mutual cooperation in the quest for a safer, more secure, and more informed society.
