Popular Nollywood actress, Lilian Afegbai, has expressed strong disappointment with the organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) over her exclusion from the 2026 nominations.
Taking to her X handle (formerly Twitter), the actress vented her frustration, calling out the organisers.
She wrote; “AMVCA, smh. I always choose to believe everything happens for a reason.”
She added; “I don’t need a nomination for validation. The truth is clear—nobody trended like Idia from To Kill A Monkey last year. Her acting was exceptional. You can keep your award.”
For those who don’t know, the organisers recently announced nominees for the 12th edition of the AMVCA. Notably, Afegbai’s co-star in “To Kill A Monkey“, Bimbo Akintola, received a nomination for Best Lead Actress.
