Popular Nigerian musician and human rights activist, Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has taken a swipe at Nigerian pastors.
The singer, popularly called “Area Fada,” alleged during a recent interview that 99 per cent of pastors in Nigeria are more interested in making money from their churches than preaching the gospel.
He said, “All the pastors I know of in Nigeria, 99 per cent of them are useless. It is just a business that they are running.”
“I may live in Nigeria, but Nigeria does not live in me. I don’t believe like you. I don’t want to think like you people. I’m not in the same class with you people. I come from a different space and time.”
