The internet was recently thrown into a frenzy following rumors on social media alleging that veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie had passed away.
However, the legendary actor’s family has swiftly debunked the viral claims.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Pete’s eldest son, Leo Edochie, addressed the rumors in a video posted on his Instagram page, stating, “The news is a lie from the pit of hell.”
“I’ve been receiving text messages and calls over the nonsense post by some people that our father, Chief Pete Edochie is dead. It is a lie from the pit of hell.”
“Our father is alive, hale and hearty. And if you wish someone dead, two things usually happen. The person will live very long and you will die before him. Shame to all of you.”
