Fresh facts have emerged on Nigerian singer, Omah Lay’s arrest in Uganda.

Before now it was reported that the singer, Omah Lay alongside his female colleague, Tems and their managers were arrested for flouting Covid-19 guidelines in Uganda.

Be that as it may, Uganda politician, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine revealed that Omah Lay’s arrest is not about Covid-19 as widely reported.

He took to his Twitter page and wrote; “Truth is #OmahLay’s arrest isn’t about COVID. No! It’s an act of shame by a corrupt regime that operates on double standards.”

“He obtained a work permit and performed under police protection! Why arrest him? This is as pro-Museveni artists stage street concerts unmolested!”

Meanwhile, the musicians have been released from police detention in Uganda.
